University of California Health and Insurance Coverage for Residents and Fellows

UCLA Bright Horizons Program

What to Know

As a UCLA resident or fellow, the work you do is essential. That’s why we’re offering you family support and care options through Bright Horizons to help get you through the current COVID-19 crisis and beyond. This benefit is only available only to trainees enrolled in the M4 unit of the CIR-UCLA Resident Union.

Find Sitters and More

Easily find babysitters, elder care givers, pet sitters and housekeepers through Bright Horizons Additional Family Supports™️. Register with Bright Horizons for premium account access to Sittercity ($150 membership fee waived), which includes running free basic background checks on sitters, caregivers and pet sitters. Note: You are responsible for payment to the caregiver. Use of Sittercity resources does not count against your 10-visit maximum back-up care visits.

Back-Up Care You Can Trust

School closures. Your regular caregiver cancels or is sick. Your aging mom or dad needs more support and you can’t be there. For a small copayment, Bright Horizons Back-Up Care™️ gives you access to high-quality child care in a Bright Horizons center (children must be well) or in-home care for your child, adult or elder relatives. Access up to 10 uses per year of back-up care services.
