Welcome to your UC benefits. The links below will quickly help you start using your benefits and learn more about them.
Find a Doctor
Anthem Blue Cross PPO. You can get medical and behavioral health care at a UC Medical Center (UCMC) or one of the more than 60,000 providers in the statewide Anthem Blue Cross Prudent Buyer (PPO) network. You can also see an out-of-network provider, but your costs will be higher.
Anthem Blue Cross HMO. You can get medical and behavioral health care at a UC Medical Center (UCMC) or through an Anthem HMO provider. Anthem HMO requires that you choose a primary care physician (PCP) to coordinate your care within the Anthem HMO network.
Fill a Prescription
PPO members: You can get prescriptions filled at either a UC Medical Center (UCMC) outpatient pharmacy or an Anthem retail pharmacy.

HMO members: You’re covered for prescriptions filled at a UC Medical Center (UCMC) outpatient pharmacy or an Anthem HMO pharmacy. You can also use out-of-network pharmacies and file a claim for reimbursement, but you’ll pay more.

Find a Dentist or Vision Care Provider
Dental coverage—including regular preventive care—is provided through Delta Dental. Find a dentist and see coverage and costs.
Vision coverage is offered through VSP. Find a provider and see coverage and costs.
Transfer your medical and/or behavioral health records. If you are switching benefits plans, you’ll need to find a new doctor and transfer your medical records from your current doctor to your new Anthem Blue Cross network physician. Your current doctor can provide you with instructions.
Review your new member ID cards. You and each covered family member will get an ID card from Anthem for medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy care. (There is no ID card for dental or vision coverage.) Report any inaccurate or missing information to Anthem.
Use your member ID card. Be sure to present your new ID card when you visit your doctor or behavioral health professional, and the first time you get a prescription filled. This will help avoid any claim delays or additional out-of-pocket costs to you.
